What is audio description (AD)?
Audio description (AD) is a narrated track that explains essential visual elements in media—such as actions, facial expressions, scene changes, and on-screen text—during natural pauses in dialogue. It allows blind and visually impaired users to fully experience visual storytelling.
What I Do
As a translator and localization specialist I transfor visual content to make it fully accesible through crafted, standard-compliant AD scripts for films, tv programs, documentaries, showr films, e-learning videos, corporate videos, instructional content, museum and exhibition media.
Please, note I don't offer voice recording our audio mixing and just focus on creating precise, engaging and accesibility-compliant AD ready for production teams, streaming platforms, accesibility departments, voice artists, broadcasters.
This is my core service
- Clear, concise AD scripts
- Precise timing aligned with natural dialogue pauses
- Neutral, objective, and accessible language
- Emotionally accurate yet non-interpretive descriptions
- Scripts compliant with accessibility standards (EAA)
Millions of people across the world face barriers when accessing video content, which is why the European Accessibility Act (EAA) requires digital services to be accessible. This includes websites, apps, streaming platforms, e-commerce, and connected TV services. Accessibility means ensuring that content can be perceived, operated, understood, and used by people with disabilities. To make video accessible, it must include accurate, time-synchronized closed captions, audio description, transcripts, and sign language interpretation.
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) requires certain high-risk products and services to be made accessible to individuals with disabilities and the elderly. The act applies to all the EU Member States, as an effort to create a more unified accessibility policy. EU member states were required to transpose the EAA into national law by June 28, 2022, with enforcement beginning June 28, 2025.
